# Popularity Symbol A Symbol is a unique identifier that is automatically assigned by the smart contract to any new ToP and all VOTs that are minted for it. The Symbol can consist of digits and letters that are present in the Object of Popularity name. For example, the ToP for Donald Pump and its VOTs will be called $DNLDPRMP, while tokens for New York or Barcelona will receive the Symbol $NYRK and $BRCLN, respectively. *This section is subject to additions and modifications.
